The Jaguar lineup is tech-heavy and among other things offers drivers seamless connection to smartphones, audio, and GPS through the infotainment system. To keep all systems running as smoothly as possible, they need to be updated occasionally. In the past, that meant a trip to the dealership. Now, it’s as easy as the touch of a button. Learn more about how to set up software updates in your Jaguar using Wi-Fi connectivity below.
How To Update The Software In Your Jaguar Model With Wi-Fi
Before any software updates can be performed, your Jaguar will need to be connected to Wi-Fi or a SIM card. After it’s connected, you’ll need to activate software updates. On your touchscreen, go to Settings – All Settings – Software Update and press Software Update Off and then Agree. Once updates have been enabled, you should see a list of available updates in the Software Update settings area. Your infotainment screen should alert you to all future updates as they become available.
How will I know when an update is available?
Jaguar software updates are distributed based on need. There is no set schedule for how often they will be released. Once you activate the software updates in your vehicle, your infotainment screen will alert you to any new software updates that are available. When an update is available, you are free to update the system at a time that is convenient. Keep in mind that some updates can be run without any change in activity and some must be performed while the vehicle is parked and locked.
